In October, the Italian music business lands in Los Angeles and Miami with the Sync Mission<\/strong>, a new initiative from Hit Week \u2013 the official Festival of Italian music around the world<\/strong>, carried out with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/strong> and ITA – Italian Trade Agency<\/strong> (the agency for the promotion and the internationalization of Italian businesses abroad), together with FIMI \u2013 Italian Music Industry Federation<\/strong>, this year under the patronage of the Italian<\/strong> Ministry of Tourism<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This edition celebrates the Festival’s twentieth anniversary by focusing on expanding opportunities within the recording business: Hit Week 2026 renews its commitment to the internationalization of Italian music<\/strong> with a program that, alongside live performances, professional panels, university sessions, and DJ sets, puts a Sync Mission<\/strong> for the first time entirely dedicated to sync – the revenue generated by music licensing for audiovisual products, from film to TV series, advertising and video games.<\/p>\n

Hit Week 2026’s program: from professional meetings to La Ni\u00f1a’s showcases<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

From October 5th<\/sup> to 7th<\/sup>, the mission will bring together in Los Angeles sync managers of major Italian record labels and leading US operators<\/strong> in audiovisual, advertising, and gaming, in important vertical networking sessions to present the Italian repertoire, fostering direct contacts and potential commercial partnerships between the markets.<\/p>\n

From October 7th<\/sup> to 10th<\/sup>, the event continues between Los Angeles and Miami with live shows<\/strong> by the mesmerizing singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist La Ni\u00f1a<\/strong>, the leading artist of this edition, alongside university lectures and the customary professional meetings that have characterized Hit Week for twenty years as an influential platform for Italian and American music professionals.<\/p>\n

Synchronization: a strategic lever for Italian Music Export <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Synchronization is today one of the most promising areas for the export of Italian music: in 2025, royalties generated by Italian music abroad exceeded \u20ac32 million<\/strong>, up 13.9% from 2024, with a strong 180% increase over the past six years<\/strong>. This is a segment where international synchronization represents a growth opportunity yet to be fully developed.<\/p>\n

ARTIST BIO<\/strong><\/p>\n

LA NI\u00d1A is the solo project of Carola Moccia, a singer-songwriter and producer born in 1991, a pioneer in bringing tradition and contemporary music into dialogue while projecting them into the future. Blending experimentation and hybridization – using the highly evocative and powerful language of her city, Naples, as a medium – her creative work spans singing, writing, theater, film, dance, and the visual arts. R\u00c0RECHE<\/em> is her new single, now available on all digital platforms and in radio rotation<\/strong>, accompanied by a music video on YouTube, marking the start of her recording journey with Sugar Music<\/strong>. Her most recent album, FURESTA<\/em> (BMG), was released on March 21, 2025 – preceded by the singles Guappar\u00eca<\/em>, Mammama’<\/em> (Live session at Auditorium Novecento), and Figlia d”a Tempesta<\/em> – and was extremely well received by audiences and critics alike, followed by a major summer tour. In July 2025, the album Fur\u00e8sta won the Tenco Award for Best Dialect Album. In October 2025, the indoor tour FUR\u00c8STA EUROPA kicked off in major clubs abroad and in Italy, followed by the 2026 summer tour currently underway.<\/p>\n

Following the great success of the single TU<\/em> with Franco Ricciardi, which quickly reached 17 million views on YouTube, LA NI\u00d1A released her debut studio album, VANITAS<\/em>, in March 2023. That same year, she made her acting debut alongside Massimo Ranieri as co-star in the series La voce che hai dentro<\/em>, produced by Lucky Red for Paramount Plus, and also contributed to part of its soundtrack. She has worked with Amazon Music on the musical La Notte delle Lumere<\/em>, with Rai 2 on the show Bar Stella, and has collaborated with artists such as Peppe Barra, MYSS KETA, Tosca, Gemitaiz, Clementino, and Mysie (UK). In 2024, she took the stage at the 74th Sanremo Music Festival alongside Big Mama, Gaia, and Sissi, during the duets night with a cover of the famous song Lady Marmalade<\/em>.<\/p>\n
