“L’uso non autorizzato di opere creative per la formazione dell’IA generativa è una grande quanto ingiusta minaccia per i mezzi di sussistenza delle persone dietro quelle opere e non deve essere consentito.”
La dichiarazione sul training dell’IA è una semplice dichiarazione che rifiuta la formazione non autorizzata di modelli di intelligenza artificiale generativa sul lavoro creativo.
Più di 6.500 persone hanno firmato l’appello, la maggior parte dei quali sono creatori: musicisti, scrittori, attori, artisti, fotografi e altro ancora. I firmatari includono autori vincitori del Nobel, attori vincitori dell’Oscar, compositori vincitori di Oscar e musicisti multiplatino. È stato anche firmato da un certo numero di dirigenti delle aziende creative e delle organizzazioni dei diritti musicali.

Perché adesso?
Molte aziende di intelligenza artificiale generativa si allenano sul lavoro dei creatori senza una licenza per farlo: questo è un grosso problema per molti artisti, musicisti, attori, autori e altri creatori il cui lavoro è sfruttato da società di intelligenza artificiale.
Questo è un momento critico per i creatori di tutto il mondo: negli Stati Uniti ci sono più cause continue che sono state introdotte a causa di un training senza licenza; nel Regno Unito il governo ha affermato che vorrebbe cambiare la legge sul copyright e consentire alle società di intelligenza artificiale di formarsi sul lavoro protetto da copyright senza dover richiedere un’autorizzazione.
Pensiamo che sia importante ascoltare direttamente dai creatori il cui lavoro viene sfruttato.
